MEASUREMENT AND VERIFICATION (M&V)

Measurement and Verification (M&V) is the process of collecting, analyzing and reporting the data necessary to verify savings in the process after the transformation of energy efficiency measures into practice.

Measurement and verification are science that fulfills the following basic principles:

• Complete

• Conservative

• Consistent

• Relevant

• Transparent

 

Especially in energy performance contracts, the expected savings between ESCO (Energy service Company) and the business must be confirmed by a third institution. In this way, it is determined whether the applications show the committed performance.

This process is carried out in accordance with the IPMVP (International Measurement and Verification Protocol) published by evo (Efficiency Valuation Organization) and the energy saved is measured and validate in accordance with IPMVP principles.
